Sloppy Joes, ah, slop-a-sloppy joes...

If you watched SNL in the '90's then you know what Adam Sandler song I sing when I make these homemade sloppy joes...

But even if you weren't up for staying up late and watching silly nonsense on TV on Saturday nights, everyone can enjoy this recipe.

JESSICA'S HOMEMADE SLOPPY JOES
2 lbs ground beef
2 C ketchup
1/2 C water
1/4 C brown sugar
1T Worcestershire sauce
1T prepared mustard
1t garlic powder
1t onion powder
1 t salt
(and i like to add in 1/4 C dried chopped onions too)
4 hamburger buns

Cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink, drain. Stir in all ingredients. Bring to a boil, them reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes. Serve open-face on hamburger bun. Serves 8.

Looks yummy. I love sloppy joes and have to say I was a huge Manwich fan until they got rid of the packet and only had the can and it isn't so good. For years I have been trying to find a good recipe. Maybe this is the one.

Thanks!
