Did you know the word "sushi" doesn't refer to fish at all- it refers to rice that has been seasoned with salt, sugar and vinegar. And, sushi traditionalists say the fish should never be raw—nor should it be completely fresh. I don't like sushi, so my surprising sushi facts came from HERE. Seriously, why would anyone want to eat anything raw that once was living?!
